and filled another rolloff dumpster. Fortunately this time there was only one tire. But 6,270 lbs of trash
Amazing how much trash can accumulate in 3 months at a homeless camp.
Out of 150+ shopping carts we removed 35 (~1,750 lbs). Amazing when each cart can cost $140 to $225 each. For 150 ~$27,375 just trashed!
Monthly total is more than all the pounds collected in 2016!

Jan 22nd On a day showing Pensacola has a "cold" season....
three volunteers started a cleanup of another homeless camp directly on Pensacola Bay - Hawkshaw Lagoon Park. Located on bay across from Gulf Power building. 162 lbs was picked up including a rechargeable scooter, gas powered edger and a lot of litter. There is more to pick up.
Regular cleanup at Graffiti Bridge saw 9 people pick up 221 lbs and five volunteers collected 93 lbs at Bartram Park

Twenty eight people collected 228 lbs at Bay Bluffs Park. A further 197 lbs by 13 volunteers at Chimney Park. The year’s total so far is 817 lbs
Jan 8th Naval Live Oaks and Bob Sikes Bridge
The two sites had 22 volunteers pick up 300 lbs even. Bringing total to date of 392 lbs

One of many Portuguese Man-of-War observed on a morning stroll of 9,200 steps at Ft. Pickens with 17 others. Walk sponsored by Healthy Gulf. Picked up four water bottles, three beach toys and ~4 lbs of litter.
