Mike and I cleaned up beach debris of lumber and a garbage can. Including trash picked up by 16 other volunteers, a total of 256 lbs was at Naval Live Oaks. Thirty people collected a further 99 lbs at south end of Bob Sikes bridge - a lot of fishing line!

National Public Lands Day
At Ft. Pickens fishing pier, 25 3rd Coast Divers collected 293 lbs of weights and debris. On land 60 volunteers picked up a further 227 lbs. At Langdon Beach, 27 students from Societies at GBHS gathered 33 lbs of litter. Thanks for the Nat’l Park Rangers help in making this a fun day. Total for the month of 2,064 lbs!

Approximately 5’x6’ stormwater drain was exposed after removing 32 lbs of litter and tree debris. Along Scenic Hwy a beach umbrella was also removed

Sanders Beach, Bertrand Park & Payne Bridge @ Bayou Texar from picking up 327 lbs of litter. Bringing the monthly total to 1,695 lbs. Thanks to the members of Kappa League.
Kudos to McQuires using cardboard to go box instead of styrofoam yesterday and the Fish House for the area in front of the restaurant as clean as I have ever seen it!
